The Script | Live

On the 19th of February, I went to Newcastle to see The Script perform at Metro Radio Arena and I loved it! If you have me on Snapchat, you might have been able to tell as I pretty much recorded the whole thing. I only planned to film a few of the best songs but they sang so many amazing tracks, I couldn’t stop myself.

I’ve loved The Script’s music for years and I really fell in love with them in 2010 when they released their Science & Faith album. I’ve wanted to see them live ever since then so this was an incredible night for me.

After Ella Eyre had finished her set, there wasn’t a long wait until The Script came out. They performed first on a small stage in the middle of the standing section which was situated very close to where I and my sister were stood. Danny really got the crowd going with the first few songs before they traveled to the main stage to continue performing.

I must say, he looks amazing with blonde hair.

Here is the list of songs they sang on the night:

I’m so glad that they sang some of their old classics as well as their new songs. However, my favourite song they sang was It’s Not Right For You.

I was truly amazed by the group’s true love for their fans. I’ve never been to a gig where the singers care so much and interact so much with their fans. I always think it’s unfair for those in balcony seats who don’t get a hands-on experience with the act. But, during the concert as well as performing in the middle of the standing section, Danny and the boys traveled all of the way through the crowd in the balcony sections. During this, he stopped in the middle of the fans and sang a full song. The fans around him were so excited it was a really happy moment.

As Danny made his way back to the main stage, he continued singing while taking selfies with his fans and high-fiving them. I absolutely loved that he spent the time to interact this much because a lot of acts wouldn’t do this. The fact he stayed in tune and continued singing for the whole travel around the arena was impressive.

I’d 100% love to see The Script live again because of all of these reasons.
