Happy Halloween! We went pumpkin picking.
I was at the farm again… Okay, this going to the farm business is getting out of hand.
Pumpkin picking decisions
I was pestering Liam to go pumpkin picking with me because I am working a late shift on Halloween this year and I felt that I was missing out on all of the fun.
At first, I had my eye on Spilman’s in Thirsk but when we saw that Newham Grange Farm were also doing pumpkin picking we couldn’t refuse the chance to go and see Craig again.
At the farm, they had a small pumpkin patch. It was outdoors near the animals. They had a carving barn too.
The pumpkins cost a couple of pound on top of the entry free and you could carve them on site.
There was a slight disaster when we were told they had ran out of pumpkins on the patch but thankfully they restocked before we left!
Liam’s by far looked way better than mine but there’s no change there.
Of course, while we were there we had to see and feed all of the animals. As always, my highlight was seeing my friend Craig the goat.
I can’t wait to go back already. Maybe I should give it a break for a while and keep days out like this a treat.
Have you been pumpkin picking this year? Where did you go?
