Anyone who knows me personally will know how big my love for chokers is. Maybe because I’m a ’90s kid or maybe because I’m a fashion student; I just love them.
I feel as though they really complete an outfit and my neck feels bare without wearing one. I often buy my chokers from Topshop and Miss Selfridge. But, recently while searching on eBay, I found some pretty amazing chokers. After ordering 2, I became slightly addicted and kept ordering more. This became a bit of a joke between me and my friend. Whenever I wear a new choker she asks “eBay?” and I reply “eBay!” It’s became too predictable! Here are just a selection of the chokers I’ve bought…
This one is really simplistic, but I love it. It has a velvet texture and a hook fastening so it is really comfortable to wear. I just think the hearts are so cute.
This black cord choker is very common. I see a lot people wearing these, but that didn’t stop me from getting one for myself. I love this type because you can wrap it around and style it in a variety of ways.
This is probably one of the the thickest chokers I own. It covers a lot of my neck and therefore isn’t that comfortable to wear. I still think it looks really nice though and pairs well with a black outfit.
This choker is one of my favourites at the moment. The leather band is so comfortable to wear and it has a press stud fastening which I find much easier in comparison to hooks. The metal detailing at the front is quite heavy to wear around the neck, but I really love the punk element it adds to an outfit. My dogs have leather collars that they wear and it reminds me a lot of them, so I joke by calling this choker my dog collar.
This choker is the most delicate one I own. This has a hook fastening and I am fearful that if I pull it too tight it might break because the ribbon is so thin. It is very light to wear but the embroidered rose makes it hang a bit weird. However, I really love the design and it pairs perfectly with my Beauty and The Beast t-shirt from Primark.
Like my ‘dog collar’, this leather choker also has a press stud fastening and is very comfortable to wear. I love the metal heart in the centre. Me and my friend like to call this the ‘Charli choker’ because it looks like something Charli XCX would wear. I love her style.
I hope you enjoyed reading this post. Let me know in the comments what you think of the chokers. All of these were no more than £1 from eBay. Absolute bargains!
