Trees of Christmas Past | Blogmas Day 6

A Christmas tree is one of the most important parts of Christmas and every year I help put the tree up at home. But home isn’t home anymore…

Now that I live in a shared house at university, I rarely see my family. As I am still in Sunderland working and at uni, my mum put my Christmas tree up without me for the first time in years. I was devastated. The tree looks amazing but I just felt so sad that I couldn’t be there to help her put it up and decorate. My uni house is crap. There is nothing festive about it and I really wanted to get a Christmas tree for the house but none of my housemates did as we’ll all be away for Christmas. How sad!

So, here are my trees of Christmas Past

I hope next year wherever I am, where I live feels more festive than this.

Lots of love Faye! My mum has put up the tree without me this year and last and it’s so sad… Why don’t you get a little one for your room? That’s what I did last year and they’re £4.99 from Pound Stretcher!
Hope you feel festive soon Hun,

I love all those trees’! I know how you feel with not being there with the tree going up with you, when I first moved out it was sad to think the year before was the last time I’d be there when they put it up!

Love those trees. I have one friend who is so obsessed with Christmas trees that she literally takes pictures EVERYWHERE posting them all in an album every year on Facebook – in stores, schools, houses, you name it
