I’m back with another music playlist, this time a little earlier in the month than usual to make room for Blogmas.
I’ve never loved all of the songs in a playlist this much, so there’s no chance I could pick a favourite. But, I’m so excited to share the songs with you so here they are…
I Miss You, I Have Questions, Good Old Days and Blinded By Your Grace Pt 2 are all fairly new releases so I’ll discuss them first. I love the harmonies in I Miss You. This song just relaxes me, I don’t necessarily relate to the lyrics like I probably would a few months ago but I do like the the music behind the song. I Have Questions is yet another song of Camila’s that I love. I don’t know whether its her voice – actually it definitely is her voice. I think she is a truly passionate singer and sounds quite sexy when she sings. This song is by far my favourite of hers at the moment. I only discovered Good Old Days at the end of this month but I really love it. Macklemore has a way of telling stories perfectly in his songs which I love and I think the combination of his and Kesha’s voice is perfection. Blinded By Your Grace is another truly relaxing song that I love to listen to when I’m chilling out. Being stressed with deadlines piling up on me and having so many shifts at work, songs like this really just help me calm down a little. The ‘part 1’ of this song is nowhere near as good.
Steady My Bones and Devil’s Backbone are more incredible recommendations from my friend Liam. I’m starting to think I should give him his own page on my blog just to write his monthly favourites because he’s taking over mine! But seriously, these songs are both amazing, relaxing and have beautiful lyrics. I highly recommend you listen to them and hopefully fall in love with them the way I have this month.
Elvis Ain’t Dead is an absolute classic that I’ve loved for years alongside Heartbeat, This Ain’t a Love Song, I Wish I Was James Bond and She’s So Lovely (which reminds me of Angus Thongs and Perfect Snogging – a film I know all of the words to). Well, this song is in my playlist this month because I’ve been blasting it in the car lately. I’m a sucker for carpool karaoke and I have no shame in singing and dancing embarrassingly in the passenger seat. That’s exactly what I do to this song.
I’ve been listening to a lot of old Taylor Swift lately and been really loving Out Of The Woods. I can’t really say why but it makes me feel weird emotions and also feels autumnal to me. I think there may be memories I have with this song that I haven’t clicked onto yet. Either way, I’ve been loving it.
I discovered Jennie when my Spotify was on a random shuffle. I love Isak’s voice and this song is so emotional I fell in love with it straight away. The track behind the song reminds me of a James Arthur song, but I can’t remember which one. If you listen to it and figure it out, please let me know. Finally, I fell in love with liability for similar reasons. It is so emotional and I relate to the lyrics to deeply. It’s the kind of song I’d sing exceptionally loudly in the shower when I’m sad. Anyone else do that or just me?
I hope you’ve enjoyed this months playlist! As always, let me know which songs you have been loving and what you think of my choices.
