September Playlist

I’m so excited to be writing another monthly playlist!

This month I’ve been listening to a lot of new music and really loving styles that I wouldn’t normally listen to.

Here are this months songs:

Remains is an old favourite that I’ve been loving this month. I’ve been listening to this song while getting ready for uni and had it in my head most days. Bastille and Rag n Bone Man are both amazing artists, so having them collaborate on a song is pretty incredible. As one Bastille song is never enough, The Currents has made it on to this months playlist. I absolutely love singing this song.

My newly released favourites are What About Us, Too Much To Ask, Bad Mood and Dusk Til Dawn. Out of these, I’ve listened to Dusk Til Dawn the most because I’ve been really loving the combination of Zayn and Sia’s voices and the beat of the song. Too Much To Ask is a really beautiful song, with lovely lyrics but I’ve listened to it less than the others because it makes me feel down. I love What About Us, as I usually do love P!nk’s music. This song in particular is catchy and another one that I’ve been listening to when getting ready for uni. I’ve also been absolutely loving Bad Mood. I can’t say I used to be a huge fan of Miley’s music. But, her recent releases and new album are great.

Deceiver is a choice that is very unlike me and to be honest, it does look out of place in this list. My friend (who has very different music taste to me) recommended Disturbed to me. In return, I made him listen to Remains and he loves it! Being open minded, I listened to a few of their songs and found that I surprisingly did like a few of them. Deceiver is my favourite of the ones that I’ve listened to so far. Enter Shikari is another outlier in the list. You guessed it, I was asked to listen to them too and loved them! Live Outside has a really good beat to it.

I’ve been loving Space and a lot of ‘Raskit’ recently because I’ve been getting hyped about seeing Dizzee Rascal in Newcastle soon! Look out for a blog post on this.

Finally, Snap Out Of It is an old favourite. I have so much love for Arctic Monkeys- their old and music (there’s a huge difference in style).

Let me know in the comments below what you think of these songs and what you’ve been loving this month!

Agreed! Music is my getaway from stress so whenever I find a new song(s) it always helps rather than repeating songs I’ve heard a million times 😀 x

I have a love for Pink. Apparently she’s coming to the US just over the border from me in the spring so I’m thinking that’s a show I need to be sure that I attend!
